How can I register the domain name through iTHome Services ?
Just type your preferred domain name in the "Search Domain"
field in the first page of http://ithome.net and then there will be an
applicaton form for you to fill in.

Can
I use iTHome Services if I have already got a domain name?
Sure you can. You just type your existing domain name in the
"Search Domain" field and if you are the domain name owner
(provided that you either are the Administrative Contact or Technical
Contact), you can change the details of the domain name.

How can I pay?
You can pay by cheque or direct bank deposit to our seperate account.
All the corresponding details are listed in the section "Payment
Details" or in
http://www.ithome.net/details.html

How long does it take ?
For .com.hk, .org.hk domain names, it usually takes around 7-10 WORKING
DAYS.
For .com, .org, or .net domain names, it takes around
3-5 WORKING DAYS
for processing.

Why so long ?
HKNIC usually processes every applications in details for checking the
validity of each applications (e.g. Business Registration Certificate,
etc.) and the process will be faster if all documentary proof was ready
before our submission.
After
their approval, we will immediately establish the configuration for your
uploading and inform you through your email accounts.

How can I set up my webpage and email accounts ?
The webpage uploading procedures and login details will be seperately
sent to your email accounts (so make sure your accounts works well),
once HKNIC/ INTERNIC was approved.
For
the email forwarding a/c (which are more than 5 entries in the form),
you have to send a list to help@ithome.net
for first configuration, and we will establish a web interface for you
to administer your own account at later stage.

Can I apply for domain name for my personal use ?
Sure you can, but only for .com, .org. or .net. Since Hong Kong Domain
names (.com.hk, .org.hk) need formal documentary proof before submission
of application.
Please make sure you have Business Registration Certificate or
Organization Proof before your application of Hong Kong Domain names.

Can I use CGI programs ?
Sure you can, you can use under our designated directory and there will
be a free usage of any Perl Script or other types of CGI program.
